Age old question, barred rock pullet or cockerel?

Definitely rooster. You can tell by double barring and lighter feet color.

Unfortunately looks to be a cockerel Wattles & comb are fairly big for that age and pretty red

Cockerel.
Like others have noted above, the double barring and comb development tells the story, sorry about that.

I'm a newbie but have read that pullets will have darker legs while the roo would have the lighter colored legs like Bagels, Maybe if Bagels is a roo he will be a quiet one! Beautiful bird

I’m sorry. Is there not anyway you could keep him? Maybe you could try a crow collar? I have heard that it works for some, but not others. Maybe it would work for you? Just to keep him quiet, and maybe no one will ever know
