Yup, I'm definitely in LOVE!!
Thank you! And thank you for sharing your flock names… I love them! Very cuteMy 1st batch in this new flock all have candy names, too!
4 buff orpingtons in the batch so I have: Lemon drop, Buterscotch, Laffy Taffy & the tiniest who was always doing her own thing is Bit O'Honey. Goes by "Honey".
Then we also have Jellybean & Dots, who my husband calls 'Weeza' cause we'll, she acts like her!
The flock is then rounded out with ice cream flavors contributed by 2 of this year's chicks: Cookies & Cream (My beautiful splash girl!I call her "Cookie") & Nutty Buddy since my husband would call him "Lil' Buddy". But he's NOT so little anymore, so I just call him "Buddy" now. Other than his name plaque on the coop sign-The Taj Mahal Peeps-I don't mention the Nutty part to him so he doesn't feel like he needs to live up to anything!
Enjoy your beautiful, fluffy babies! They grow way too fast.
& I'd LOVE to see how these Lemon-Blues grow out.![]()
Thank you! Not sure how far you got but out of that crew I kept the girls and they are Gumbo, Coco(short for Cocodrie), RouxRoux, Mardi, and BeignetLove the names! So cute!

Oh no! Sounds like you have a bunch of trouble makers... but why am I not surprised...lol jk! Hope you figure it out.So I think I have an egg eater now
Ima tell yall, the last 6 months with these chickens has been unreal
I never had one bit of an issue in 5 and a half years… until that horrible day of the dog attack in September of 2023…. But after that all was well… until about 5 or 6 months ago… it started with the lice.. then the wild birds going in the coop bringing the lice… I noticed the lice before I discovered the birds and I am still fighting to keep them out from time to time… then internal parasites… and lately I’ve been fighting the red ants that are unstoppable… now an egg eater?! Seriously! I feel defeated
I did get rid of the lice and the worms… but I don’t know how to catch an egg eater
Oh, I just remembered about Maryn… she had a prolapsed vent but we have gotten that under control
So, even though I was able to fix some of the issues it’s still just so frustrating.
