You would never want to put a blue roo over a wheaten hen- you will get only easter eggers that way. And there is no such thing as pencilled ameraucanas.

Well i would have never known that when you breed 2 ameraucanas together you would get a total different breed of chicken, because all of ours have the slate legs they have breads and muffs and no waddles and all of my Ameraucana chickens have the pea comb, I also have no other color egg produced but blue. I do not get the green or pink colors and whatever colors they lay of the easter egger and our penciled was produced though selective breeding, you are correct it is not a recognized color just like splash. I did this because i personally liked the color and this took some time for me to finally get the colors right.

Then only a percentage of the offspring have the potential to be show quality....there's a whole lot more to being up to the breed standard than egg color and comb type....

Also, EE is more of a "classification" than a separate breed...

Well my blue that i have up took home res. best bird and all around best bird, my one hen took home 3rd and then my black roo who i did not post up took home grand champion! So i must have good birds if we won like that, i do also understand not every bird is perfect and i do not expect everyone to accept my birds but i love them all dearly and believe i have a wonderful flock of some pretty birds. I never promised that all that hatched would be show quality just that all eggs came from a show quality flock

I only meant that your off-colored hens are not show quality, while the title of your ad represents them as such.

don't take it to heart-

Ameraucana vs EE is just the breeding standard of acceptable colors versus those that aren't. Odd colored chicks no matter the parentage are called EEs.

I have some EEs and some AMs- love them both

No one should expect show quality chicks but someone would point out that you said so, so why aren't they. That is why most people put 'from show quality stock'.

Don't feel like you need to pull your auction. Everyone has an opinion- I don't tend to listen much to others myself. If you feel you need to clarify the ad then just edit and go from there.
