I have Black Copper Marans roos with Black Ameraucana roos and hens. Since the Marans are dominant (I only see them with the hens) I thought I would get some oliver eggers. The chicks hatched yesterday and they look like pure Ameraucana to me. What do you think? Pure Ameraucana or a Marans cross?

They are too cute!!! I would say I do see some olive egger looks to the one's on the left side, but the one on the right looks just like black copper marans when they were wee little.

They look like they have yellow feet with some dark spots on them, so I'm gonna go with Olive Eggers, as this is what you get when you cross an Ameraucana and a BCM, as beards is a dominant trait they will all most likely be bearded, you might want to look at their combs too as you might get some with straight combs, but they will all carry the Blue egg gene. Congrats hopefully you enjoy your olive eggers.

Yes of course! The feet are a giveaway. Their soles are yellow too, instead of white like Ameraucanas. Thanks for the replies.

Umm - Both Ameraucanas and Marans SHOULD have pink/white soles and a slate base leg color, so, if those chicks mature with yellow soles and/or legs, you've got something else in there.

If their legs have any sort of feathering at all, I say Olive Egger. If not - Ameraucana.

I have three little Olive Egger chicks that are second generation OEs. BCM roo over 1st generation OE hen (BCM roo over Ameraucana hen). I was told that they would look like Brown Red Ameraucanas when they grow up. I'm new to OEs so don't know what the first generation OEs look like.

They will look like blue and black Ameraucanas with small beard/muffs, feathered legs, and varying coppering on their necks. Most will hardly have any though.
