Animal cry heard in woods

Since it’s most likely a bobcat, how can I deter them away from the chicken coop

So far no. The mother probably just left it their to find food. Hopefully came back for it and not an animal take it

In our woods, we hear wild peacocks all the time. Depending on where you live, I'd be careful with any type of call you hear in the woods because cougars or panthers strangely enough sound just like a human cry. Good luck on finding that creature!

I live in nj. I have no idea if we have wild peacocks. We haven’t heard the noise and it’s night now so I’ve been listening and nothing so hopefully whatever it was is safe.

My brother apparently saw a cat near the same area during the day. He thought it was a bobcat so my guess is a cub. Hopefully it’s safe

...or just a domestic cat.
