Another TSC special! Supposed to be a Speckled Sussex??

Ok y’all…here’s another one of my chicks from TSC. She was labeled a Speckled Sussex, but she doesn’t look like the ones I’ve seen. What breed do you think she is? She is 12-13 weeks old.

Oh, I thought that was for real. Sounds like something the internet would say.
Now that I know you meant Welsummer I'm confident the app has nothing to do with TSC. It could be correct.

Im gonna say welsummer due to the breast color being red and not the same color as the rest of the feathers

I would think she is a Welsummer due to being a little bit more on the lighter side. Most other partridge varieties I know of are heavier breeds. She’s definitely not a Speckled Sussex. It seems that these two breeds are often mixed, which makes sense due to their very similar pattern as chicks. There is a bit of a difference in their pattern as chicks, but you would really have to pay attention if you wanted to tell them apart. Otherwise you have to wait until when they start growing in their feathers.
