It wouldn’t be a problemGo for 100% cotton and 140+lb paper. With watercolor, over-dilution is a good problem to have - you can fix it by layering on top of the dried paint.
If I wasn’t so dang impatient, lol.
Plus the aforementioned paper quality means that the more water I use the more buckling and pilling. Oh well, I put cotton watercolor paper on my birthday list. My current paper is a generic “paint pad” which can be used for both watercolor and acrylics so not actually great for either imo (though I’ve never tried acrylics on it.) I also do have a smaller, nicer thicker cold press watercolor pad… if I could find it!
