Any Home Bakers Here?

We are so close to stores here! Costco is a mile and a half and thee is a supermarket about a quarter of a mile the other way from us.

I still have the habit of being far from a store though so do most of my shopping weekly and do keep stocks of essentials for baking and cooking

It's a 24 mile round trip to get to the grocery store here. And the closest thing to a Sam's (no Costco) is in Casper, that's a bit over 2 hours away (one way).

But there's a pretty good possibility I'll be moving to Casper this fall. Lots of grocery stores there!

When we lived up North in Corning California, I shopped weekly in Chico because the little stores in Corning were very expensive. I saved money even with lunch and gas included and could get the things I wanted.

I am excited to hear that you will be moving closer to stores!

Me too!

One of the things I'm looking forward to (and I know this sounds crazy) is getting my mail delivered right to my door. I haven't had that for over 10 years now! :D

When I grew up in the Country, we were on a rural route. The mail was delivered down the street.

Here we have a box for the street but it is just across the street from us.

Takes almost an hour to get to Cotsco here but well worth going tend to try to stop at
others we buy from see what the car will hold :lau
No Costco here. We do have a Sams. I have an issue with paying a store to allow me to give them my money. I will never have a membership at any of these outfits. Same thing goes for Amazon Prime.

You get the membership $ back nowadays at Sam's. For every XX spent (I forget) you accrue towards a yearly cash back amount. Should you not meet the threshold for the cost of the membership for the yearly cash back amount, just stop by the customer service desk and they will give you the difference.
For a family of two, even with major allergies, I've gotten both some cash back and some of the difference paid back to me the last 2 years. This year, having the ability to order what we need online with free shipping has been terrific and largely what has helped us stay home and stay healthy.

I only mention this because generally I'm like you...You want ME to pay You to take My money?? Are you nuts?? But this is one of those rare times it comes out even for us.
