I wasn't able to get any chicks this Spring. I can look on CDFA's site and see which counties are subject to the quarantines but I can't see anything about whether or not they're making any progress. All I've found is a vague warning that the quarantines will stay in place until no new cases are diagnosed and that that could take "months or years".

Central Cal counties appear to be being vigilant. They're canceling poultry shows and poultry events at county fairs proactively.

I was sorry to see that there has been at least one outbreak in AZ now. And I think that months ago I saw something about a case in UT. But if they're not in the news anymore, that could be a good indication for them.

All in all, vague but not good news... I hope someone here knows something more definite and/or encouraging.
