My FIL has a old hay wagon that he can't use for hay anymore. We were going to order some poultry for spring since we got rid of ours. He was thinking of trying to make a coop on top of the wagon so he can take it out in the field and move it around with the tractor. I seen a couple pictures on google but was wondering if anyone on here had any pictures. I know he would like to have a door maybe at each end so we could get into it easily. We were thinking of a ramp for the chickens to go in and out of it. We may put a easy to move fence up around the wagon till they knew that was their living area and to help round them up in the coop for night so predators don't get them. We live on an organic farm and usually had them close to the house which can get smelly at times and they had to be fenced in. We thought if we took them out in the field they could free range after they knew what the coop was for. He said something about maybe making something in the coop to store extra feed and water so we don't have to lug it out there every day. I'm not sure how big he is planning on making it.
