Anyone successful in Variance for more Chickens than allowed?

Hi All,

I've had chickens in the past but recently moved to a rural residential district and started a new flock on 3 acres. Unfortunately they are not familiar with chickens at all and seem more stringent than a HOA.

Anyone successful in obtaining a variance for more Chickens than allowed?
I do have a letter from my doctor for the chickens but not keen on having to share this info, wonder if requesting a variance would force me to share that personal info with my town if there's a meeting about it?

First question. How many chickens are you allowed,,,, and how many do you want to keep??
If its just a few more,,, then just do it. I don't think they will be sending the CIA to investigate your numbers.
Simply get your limit,,,, and then QUIETLY add a few.
I understand you do not wish to share some info. I am understanding there.
But If you apply for a VARIANCE,,, you will need to include that info on your application,,, Along with necessary documentation from your doctor.

Only thing I can think of. Get a few of these signs and post them on your property entrance points.

And if city jerks come,, Pack some heat. Its your property, so you can have what is necessary to protect self
