Are ducks afraid of dogs?

So my next door neighbors have a few large dogs in their backyard. I’m hoping to get ducks, which could not be reached at all by the dogs, but I’m scared they will be afraid if the dogs. Do ducks have anxiety about large dogs that bark being nearby?

As long as the dogs have no access to the ducks they should be fine.

From my own personal experience, I could say that they probably wouldn't care so long as the dogs aren't around them. Even when our dogs were around our ducks, they honestly didn't seem to care about eachother. So I think everything will be fine!

Depends on the ducks themselves specifically but as long as they start out young with the neighbors dogs barking and being all over the fence, they won't care! Here's my indoor girl with my golden!

Lovely pics but I don’t think the age would even matter

They will get used to it. Since the dogs cannot get to them, they will learn the noise is nothing to be afraid of and it won't startle them anymore. My ducks know my dogs are safe and they can be nose to nose at the fence and don't get upset, but if a strange dog approaches the coop the ducks start to panic. Ducks learn what does and doesn't constitute a threat.

My ducks don't mind my dog, but she is a deaf, blind, 14 year old Shih-tsu. I think my ducks are more of a threat to my dog!

My ducks are fine with my great pyr but she lives with them but they get way more spooked when my other dog runs at the fence not because he barks.
