Someone stole another Amazon package from us this morning. 🤬🤬🤬 Scumbags circle our neighborhood constantly on bicycles. They carry big backpacks and steal anything they can get their hands on. They often follow the Amazon trucks around.

Cameras don't deter them. He rode right up to our porch, took it, and left. Had a hood up, no way to identify him. Just after 6:00 A.M., too. Criminals start early around here.

That package had a new camera for our run, among other items.
Amazon never delivers here that early. The package must have been delivered last night after dark.

I checked the updates. It was out for delivery at 3:26 A.M. and delivered at 6:02 A.M. Isn't that crazy? 6:00 AM is my prayer time so I wouldn't have heard a thing.

There's an Amazon warehouse in or near Tucson, I think. I'm guessing that's where many of our orders come from. I wish I could just buy everything locally. I also wish I didn't live in a high crime area. Gah.

It just seemed strange to me that it would be out for delivery that early. Mine never are out for delivery until at least 10:30 am, and usually isn't delivered until the afternoon or early evening. I guess they just do thing's different down your way.

Yeah it's weird to me, too. Whoever stole the camera got a lot of other goodies including food so he really scored. They're going to be watching our house and we have more coming today (and tomorrow). Things like food, toiletries, first aid, vitamins, and supplements can't be shipped during the hot months so we stock up on them this time of year. My roommate runs a computer business and she buys products locally but she also buys computers and parts online.

I'd keep a close eye on it and leave doing your praying until after it's been delivered and in your house.

Consider a remote pickup location, instead of your home delivery. They are available in my area, although we don't have theft here <<<<<yet<<<<<

We have used them in the past. They're all metal and bake everything inside them. They're also are in pretty dicey locations. 😬

Mail is stolen out of curbside mailboxes here and the post office refused to let us have a front door mail slot so we both got P.O. boxes several years ago. The P.O. boxes are pretty far from where we live. We usually go there only once a month or every other month.

They also really take their time sorting packages. Something might arrive within a day or two of being ordered but you can't actually pick it up for a week or longer. It's not such a big deal for me but when my roommate needs products for her business she can't wait that long. We might have to start having Amazon packages sent there anyway just because things have gotten so bad in our neighborhood.

We did get all of our Amazon packages today.👍 We didn't trap any squirrels, though. Can't win 'em all.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. I suspect it’s only going to get worse.
