Arizona Chickens

I found a few ladies here who had interesting crosses which would work well for the Alohas. I managed to coordinate so delivery would all be yesterday and today. Sommer would take 8+ for her incubator, and we'd all be *shiny happy people*.


Big problem: All the ladies send HUGE amounts of extras.

-Ordered 12, sent 24. No broken eggs on arrival.
-Ordered 18. The day before ship, they only laid 8. I said, "That's fine, good enough." The next morning her hens laid 22 more. She sent all 30. 1 broken egg.
-Ordered 12, sent 18. Due to arrive this morning.

Even if half of shipment #3 is broken, that is still 54 eggs!

ETA: just got an email from #3. I got a repreive, she didnt get it out until today *whew* but she added more.....

Also, because it took an extra day, i put two more eggs in the box.. There is close to 2 dozen..​

Morning all ~ Gorgeous day we have going, maybe today I will get something done. Chicks are getting big (and messier) so its time they move on out I think.

Went to Stock Shop yesterday, they had so many cute and adorable babies...I was very tempted by the polish chicks. They still have two turkey poults left too

RRR~ I worked yesterday or I would have helped you out with the rabbit-rescue-express; did you get a ride to get her?

Im being a standard guy here and trying to see how i can solve the problem if there is one lol (its what we do as i am sure you know)

I am just a little overwhelmed. I thought I was practicing good planning. I even lined up Sommer to take my "egg overflow".

With my egg-killing abilities, I seriously doubt they will all hatch. I would be happy with 2 or 3 hens from each lady. But if they DO all hatch, I am not sure you'all will hear my cry for help with all that peeping.

If they all hatch that i can easily help you out with as I am working on my coop and brooding pens now

Well I am driving up to Flag this time ( so north from me even) or I would stop buy....I need to make a road trip to you too, we just have to PLAN something and do it
