If I got another I'd get another from show lines. Pepper is from ASDR lines and can be reactive. Thankfully she listens quickly to recall. My last Aussie was a wonderful fun dog. She understood full sentences, and I would have long conversations with her. They also have a goofy sense of humor. I've owned 2 show quality, and 2 that were not. I enjoy them both, but prefer the show quality.

It's the same with Golden retrievers. I got to know some show quality ones decades ago and I almost bought one because of how calm and intelligent the dog was.
That’s amazing!!! You should get a Golden LOL

I like dogs with no tails, or short tails. Too many years of milking cows and getting swatted in the face with tails. We had that black and tan coonhound that sure could give head knocks with his tail.

Oh gosh!!!! LOL that makes sense then!!!! They can definitely clear a dining room table. Them and Labs. Labs especially with the thick otter tail. Show Labs. Not as much field Labs with the whip tail. But the whip tail hurts more when they hit you with it while wagging LOL but all four hurt :lau field Labs and Goldens and show Labs and Goldens. :lau

I can confirm oakleys tail is painful😭😭

I hate the way docked tails look🤣 that is one think I don’t like about Dobermans, it is nearly impossible to find one without it, unless you get one from Europe. Which I was considering anyways, because I want a European working line.

Any dog i have will almost havr to match a golden temperament. Grooming doesnt bother me. And i would buy from a show line or from a good breeder i found where her dogs go into homes with things im looking for.
