So CUTE! Baby ducklings are cute on a whole new level! I have my first muscovy eggs cooking now and can hardly wait.

That looks like a cool assortment of colors. Do you know who will have what color or pattern from their down colors?

This is only our second hatch but last time the yellow ones with the colored tails turned out to be a Barred pattern. The color of the barred is determined by the color of their tail. Last time we only had one yellow with a brown tail and she is a chocolate/white barred. This time we have yellow with black tails so I assume they will be black/white barred.

Our brown ones turned out chocolate/white and the black ones turned out beatle green/black/white.

I see blacks and chocolates. Pied and barred
If dad is chocolate and mom is black, then these are sex linked babies. The blacks are males (that carry the chocolate gene) and the chocolates are all females

What does the Pied look like? I have one drake and the rest are hens. All are like a beatle green/black and white.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! They look SO cute and young! That is my absolute favorite stage, after this they grow so quickly! I need to get some duckies one of these days! All of their different colors are amazing!
