Banty-size Nest, Anyone have an innovative idea?

I wonder if a gallon jug would work. Just cut a hole in the side just big enough for her toward the top so you can put bedding in the bottom then hang it so she could get on her special roost and jump in. Or lay it on it's side, cut the hole in the bottom, and attach it to a board next to her roost.

I'm sure you'll find something.

Now, that is cute! Hmm. I'll have to look for something like that. I'd like to find the perfect thing and I may make it one way then find something she likes better. Thanks for all the suggestions!

I use a covered cat litter box for my EE banty.
She's been broody 3 times this year and she gets picked on by the other chickens.
I thought the other chickens would try to use her nest, but it terrifies them.

for some reason.
I think the opening is too narrow for them.

Too bad 'cause I thought it would make a nice nest box for everybody.
Nice and easy to clean. And cheap.

Well, after coming up with an idea using some of our scraps from a log home building site and our other projects, I told my DH and he's making it for me. It's just glued, but will have thin screws put in and then the back will be screwed into the wall a foot or two up off the floor. Seems like it's just her size to me. What do you think? The opening is 6" high, barely, and the widest part of it is less than six inches wide.
