Barred Plymouth Rock - cockerel?

So barring can be a little confusing.

BSL is a barred hen crossed with a non-barred rooster. The hen will only pass barring onto her sons. So they get 1 copy of the bar gene (white spot on head). Since the rooster-dad isn't barred, he doesn't pass on any bar gene. So, daughters are not barred.
As soon as the chicks hatch, you can tell cockerels with the white dot from pullets without any dot on their head. It's 100%. Plus, as they grow, all the males will be barred, and none of the females will be.
So, a male chick from a BSL hen w non barred roo will be single barred, looking like a female BR?

Can a barred roo, not BR, crossed w a non barred hen, pass a single bar gene to a female chick and have her look like a BR?
Or will she have barring but not look like a BR?
Or the possibility of either?

If the barred rooster is single barred (as in a male sex link) he will have a 50% chance of passing barring on to his offspring regardless of gender. So half of his chicks, both male and female, would inherit a single barring gene. If the hen is non-barred, she doesn't have a barring gene to pass on so all of the barred chicks will be single barred.

Thank you. Could/Would the single barred chick, male or female, look just like a BR? Or would one of the parents have to be a BR. Excuse my ignorance, but I am learning.

I mean, yeah. To me, most birds that are barred, have a single comb, and clean yellow (or yellow whith a black wash) shanks look like barred rocks. As adults there may be differences in body shape that might clue me in to not being a BR, but all chicks are roughly the same shape up to a certain age (dependent on breed).
