I think you would be happy to switch to horse bedding pellets once you see that they are virtually maintenance-free, eliminate odors, keeps the coop drier, and only need changing once a year. Every spring we remove what's left and put fresh down. What we remove is about 90% sawdust and pulverized chicken poop. We put that around trees, in our garden, and in our compost bins.Can you get pelletized pine bedding for horses? @Debbie292d is a big fan of it. I'm planning to try it in my coop.
