Best thing for getting rid of roundworms in chickens & also preventing??

It's been said before but do not attempt to use DE for deworming. There are many wormers that are effective that cost less than DE which albeit holistic is also worthless as a de-worming medicine.

In my opinion, one does not need to deworm regularly unless living in an area that is absolutely crawling with worms and cysts etc. I have been called an "Idiot" on this forum for this opinion but I stand by it. In other words, absolute prevention isn't really possible unless you deworm them every 10-14 days.

Ok so apple cider vinegar does help with round worms but what about other worms and does onion help I well I've hear it did but wasn't sure

Most if not all worms are unaffected by vinegar.
All your going to do by giving them vinegar is up there calcium intake.

Thinking it depends on who you talk to. If you read holistic pages it is used often and people say it works. If we have dogs you are gonna get tapeworms along the line. A lady on a page I am on says she feeds her dogs DE daily and has never had a worm of any kind issue. It is supposed to help with digestion too. I have used on my birds for external parasites and it worked. It's one of those things that your never going to get a 100% answer on. Natural chicken keepers use it all the time. I like it because so many other warn of keeping way from eggs and food where this is safe.
