Hi all!
We just hatched a batch of 12 eggs, 8 hatched!! They are 2-5 days old, depending on when they hatched.
One chick, Cuddles, is the runt, and also was very weak and small when she hatched. She is pretty healthy now, but still gets pushed around by the others, due to her small size and submissive personality.
Her BFF is Snowy, an adorable boy!!! He is her protector, and it is the cutest thing ever to see them together! Whenever one of the other chicks threatens or bothers/annoys Cuddles, Snowy immediately rushes over to defend and protect her!!!
It is adorable to see this amazong friendship blossoming between the two of them.
Do you have, or have ever had, a friendship between two of your chicks or chickens like this? If so, I would love to hear your story about it!!!
