Black hens - anyone know what breed they are????

My son got these two black hens when they were just chicks, at the AZ. State Fair. The lady who breeds them had these and "Americanos" and told us these were "Blackies" and would lay dark brown eggs. I have looked and cannot find a breed called "Blackies" and have also asked at our local feed store and they have not heard of them either. Does anyone know what kind of hens these two actually are?
We got them in Oct. and they were just a few weeks old. They are now about 5 months old and we were told they would begin laying eggs between 4 and 6 months old.
Any other info would be great to know!!

Probably Black Gaints or Jersey Gaints!

Did you mean Black Star? That's what mine are and they lay medium-brown eggs.

There!! I did it!!! They are all black.... not real big.. just average size hens. Have not laid any eggs yet, but was told they would start laying between 4 and 6 months old...and that the eggs would be dark brown in color. The lady just called them "Blackies" which must not be their actual name for the breed.
Any ideas??

They will lay brown eggs, they have red earlobes. If she said "blackies" was her English broken??? They do look like Australorps.

If the bottoms of their feet are pink, they are australorps. If they are yellow, they would be Jersey giants.
