I have a black sex link that was one of my most reliable layers all last spring into summer (her first laying season) but when it got really hot around late August she stopped laying. I figured that was normal heading into fall but she still hasn’t started up again going into May. I thought maybe she has some health issue but she seems perfectly fine otherwise. Just content to free load.
Is this something I can change? Do black sex links just take longer to start laying again after winter? I have 9 other chickens who all eat the same food (Tucker Milling 16% mini pellets) and lay eggs regularly.
