So, I cracked open an egg for breakfast and it was bloody. Our broody hen is sitting on eggs currently. (But I can't imagine how one could get in the fridge. Here is a picture:

The egg yolk didn't completely burst from the cuticle as some is still attached to it.
Sometimes there's a glitch, & the cuticle doesn't open right breaking a small vein on the yolk leaving some blood.

Ya, I don't see any veins/vessels that indicate development either.

I wouldn't eat that nastiness.. but would totally scramble it (or leave as is) and feed back to the chickens, dogs, pigs, etc.
