I just hatched 2 BLRW. They look exactly the same. I'm leaning towards blue for color, but what do you guys think? This is Bernadette:

Also, I know BLRW are supposed to have yellow legs, but their legs seem pink to me. Is that something that will change?

I'm no expert new to the blwrs but i would guess blue. Not sure on the legs never really paid attention to my chicks legs before.

I think bernadette might be a splash? or a lighter colored blue?

Yeah, I'm really curious to see. The down on her wings and underside is very pale yellow, but her back is really dark, with black stripes. I love the guessing that comes along with this breed.

She's a blue, no way a splash at all-they are ALOT lighter.

if anybody can recommend a BLRW breeder in NE Georgia... I found the BLRW rooster dead this morning So I am looking for a pair or trio. I prefer Foleys or part Foleys, and non hatchery. As those are adult birds, I will have to pick up within driving distance of Gainesville.
