Brinsea ecoglow brooder 1200 or 600?

I’m considering getting a brooder plate from brinsea. The question is should I get a size 600 that fits “20 newly hatched chickens” or size 1200 that fits “35 newly hatched chickens”? I’m getting 5 ducklings in the spring so the 600 might be enough but I know they grow quickly and I don’t have any concept of how big they’ll be when they no longer need a brooder plate. Will the 600 be big enough for my needs throughout they’re growth or should I get the 1200?

I'd honestly pass on anything brinsea, the quality has fallen.
