Have you candled the double-yolker to see if chick(s) are alive and growing? If they are alive, definitely do a search asap to learn more re what may be required for a successful hatch. It is very rare for double-yolker chicks to survive to hatch day. But there are threads on byc where both chicks did make it out of the egg alive. Double-yolkers almost always require assisted hatching. Congratulations on the 10 new chicks, & good luck with the rest.Alright y'all we now have 10 chicks! That poor girl is going to have her "hands" full when she takes them out. And just wait until she teaches them to roost the first time! It'll be a hoot!We are up to 12 chicks now! I took the double yolker out as it was dead. We have 1 more egg and it is just starting to pip! View attachment 2693835
