Broody hen hurting chicks

This experience was a new one for me. I've helped dogs, cats, pigs and cows. First time helping a chick.
It looks like they're doing well. You did an excellent job on saving them. Keep doing what you're doing and they should be fine. Because they got each other, they'll be doing a lot better than if only one survived.

Agree. Im headed to ts and look at their chicks. Small flock of 4 might be nice. I have a hen raising 2 black jersey giant chicks ( two months) and a 2nd hen raising 2 (one week).

Put her in an elevated, upside-down kennel for three days. (I'm talking the metal bar dog kennel, not the plastic type.) That removes all her privacy and warmth so she'll stop brooding.
She sat on nest 3 days and now back with the flock. The chicks are doing well. I am out in the run with these two. About a week old. The flock is ignoring them.

No more chicks under hen. Just these two. No injuries. I got it in time. The 2nd chick is working on getting out. Ive got a towel on top of the heat pad. Its set on low. Right now they are in a box on my kitchen table. Brooder plate set up nicely. I have a nice cage inside the coop that Ill transfer them to later. This is chick number one.
Here they are today
