Buff Barred Bantam Cochins - How?

Barring is sex linked.
Females only get barring from fathers and only pass it to their sons.
Females can only have one copy of the gene.
Males can have one or two genes for it.
If a hen is barred all he sons will be barred.
If a male has two copies for barring all his offspring will be barred. If he has one copy half his offspring will be barred.
You can go about it different ways but basically cross a barred cochin with a buff cochin.
Use barred chick and breed back to buff. Continue breeding barred offspring back to buffs a few generations until you get back to nice even buff color (with barring). Then you'll start breeding those to get barred pullets and double gene barred cockerels. Once you get to that they will breed true producing all buff barred offspring.
Can go into more details If you still have questions.
