I got 7 chickens. 6 girls and 1 rooster. well, I have one silkie and everyone is around 4-5 months old. maybe a month older. My silkie is tiny bc of her breed and well she gets picked on and my starlight green egger pulled a father off her once when I was watching. She does that cry when they come near her and she runs to me hides behind me. I'm glad she trusts me but I want them to be nice to her. At night when there roosting she gets up there and they always peck her and she hates it so I have to break it up. I need ideas on how to make them stop bullying her. And yes I'm its bc shes smaller than them so pls no comments about the obvious. thank you.

You can try my bully victim program, but, I have to say it, her size may not be conducive to pepping up her self esteem enough for her to be able to stand up for herself. Size is just half of her problems, the other being her timid breed temperament. She may never have the self assurance necessary to hold her own in a flock of standards. You certainly can try, though. Here's my program: https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/chicken-bully-chicken-victim-a-two-sided-issue.73923/

To give this little gal the best chance at a happy life in the flock, it may be necessary to get her a couple of other Silkies for friends and create a wing off your main run for them to safely hang out during the day.

I was thinking about getting another silkie but my breeder accidentally gave me a rooster and I don't want to end up with another one lol. I will look at the program thank you and she has stood up for herself by jumping at them with is adorable we always make sure they are happy and safe.
