Button Quail Hatch-a-long, 3 batches

Been wanting to say I'm liking my Little Giant much more. When it got colder and I turned on the furnace, I was able to stabilize the inside house temperature. Now I'm not constantly tweaking the temp settings like before.

I've also figured out how best to seat the lid on to lessen the difference between the hotter and colder areas. It has wiggle room, and on this particular one, I like to nudge it as far down and to the right that it will go. And finally, I'm used to just how much water to add to regulate the humidity.

Every incubator has its quirks, and learning the quirks of yours is part of getting that good hatch rate. Glad to see that you're taking the time to learning yours!
Last night I found a good deal on a new auto turner on eBay. So that should help even further. It comes with regular egg rails, and I offered to hatch some of my friends chicken eggs. If this batch of quail eggs is a good one, that'll be enough quail for me for the time being and my next batch might be her chicken eggs.

Today is lockdown. I did a final candle and the following were empty or basically empty.

Batch 2: 3, 5, 8 (@muddy75)

I can’t tell which egg hatched. But this is so exciting!!!! It’s probably from the first batch from my own hens that went in two days before the others.
