I texted the guy and told him about the cracked eggs. He didn't know what could have happened. He offered to replace them though. I said, thanks for the offer, but it's too far of a drive.

The day I picked them up he tried to tell me to not bother trying to candle them because it was impossible. Maybe that was a red flag? But I genuinely think he just didn't know, he seemed nice enough.

Despite that I suggested he get an Incubright to check for cracks before selling them.

Suggestion on the best place to order Button eggs? I know of several places, just not sure about them. (I don't have Facebook and I've exhausted my local Craigslist)

Or if any of you all ship them?

Here's the kicker.....they weren't shipped!

I drove 1.5 hrs. to get them.

It sounds like the person you got them from didn't handle them well. I wouldn't get eggs from them again.
