As long as it isn't opened long, it will be OK! Also if you have a spray bottle, mist the inside before putting the top back on ....not the eggs but the sides or top of the bator.

1 degree off is not bad but typically results in early hatchersI took out #22 and one of the Govees. I opened the egg and it was long gone.
I tested my new thermometer in ice water and it was exactly 32F. Compared to the Govee at room temp and it appears that I’ve been running the incubator a full degree hot.
Is it a lost cause or should I still stick with it a couple more days?

My eggs are day 7, and i cant see into any of them. My candler is not made for button eggs so the light is not completely directed into the egg.You should be able to see progress at day 7, but you'll see more at day 10. It's up to you. You can even candle daily if you like. I think I posted a link to my playlist in another of your threads, but it shows the development daily.
