Buying hatching eggs from overseas - Silkies

Hello everyone!

I raise my own Silkies and would love to improve their genetics by ordering high-quality Silkie chickens from the USA. However, I'm unsure about the legality of this (I’m in Europe, specifically Poland) and whether shipped hatching eggs would survive the journey.

Has anyone here shipped or received Silkie eggs internationally? If so, how did the process go, and what were the results ( did eggs make it)?

It's illegal to export birds in the US, I'm not sure if eggs count but it's very unlikely the eggs would make it. I'm Sorry

Try eBay. Here's what I show today. Just check to be sure they have good ratings. I saw one that said, "Believed fertile." I'd avoid that one!

I have bought silkie hatching eggs on eBay several times and recently sold some. I checked for going overseas and it can be done but the hastle isn't worth it. My chickens who lay the eggs and the eggs have to get vet checked which sounds weird, there's customs, and then whatever import laws/fees Poland has. The hatch rate on shipped eggs within the U.S. is bad enough, I can't imagine how bad it would be going overseas.
