can anyone tell me what my Freebie is.

Poor lil one I hate when one gets bullied. Maybe try a few of your females ducks or one very laid back one in with Free and see how that goes. If Freebie is quacking loud then it's a girl.

@Miss Lydia
Here is Freebie as of yesterday. Male right ?
Does he look skinny? Worried he's not able to get what he needs. Have constant food down but he spends most of his days around and in his pool.
I tried to seperate him and his chicken buddy from the flock but they were running the fence Not eating or drinking. Figured some was better than none and returned them to the flock. Magpie pen is a no go. . Trie

d it again. Drake still attacks him and his female join in. I won't subject Freebie to the abuse. I truly believe he'd be killed.

Freebie again. Also taken yesterday . I love this duck when they gave him to me my intentions Were to place him in the duck enclosure with his own kind when he was big enough. Really afraid I've done this duckling a huge injustice. I do have two 2 week old goslings he might be able to live with.
The magpie are great ducks, beautiful and calm but mean as snakes to anything outside their group.

Your Magpies are beautiful. Sorry Freebie can't join them. I am not sure if that is a drake or not what makes you think so? voice? Sure is pretty.

I'd try introducing him to the gosling but they may have to get older before they can be with him/her all the time. He may not take to them.

I hear quacking not the really raspy voice I hear with my magpie drake .. Freebie is supposed to be a golden 300 from Hoover hatchery. They gave him to me at TSC because he /she was the last one and they were going to put it down ? Or so I was told. As weather permits I take the goslings out for sun and excersize in the run.. Freebie didn't mind them checking out the pool. Definitely not the response the magpies gave Freebie. I just want all my little charges to get the best care possible and to live in comfort. If need be Freebie can be a house duck. Though I don't thank that would be what is best.
Picture is goslings as of yesterday. 2/3 the size of Freebie but growing fast.
