Hello there ~ I have a question about waffles...can my chickies eat them? Oh and minus the syrup of course. lol I had some in the freezer and the kids aren't eating them so I am asking the experts as to what all of you think. I'm still new to chickens but don't recall if anyone ever posted anything about waffles. Have a great day and thanks in advance.

Give them the waffles in small quantities. Waffles don't have much protein and won't have the wide range of nutrition they'll need. But yes, you can definitely give them waffles.

Yep!

Waffles, french toast, pancakes, toast, whole wheat, rye, black, white, the wrapper, and the twisty tie that keeps it closed.

I sometimes forget that some folks have not have the advantage of growing up in the "country". MawMaw would feed the chickens anything and everything in the way of scraps out of the kitchen. If a chicken can catch it, and get it down their throat they can eat it.

Yep mine eat lots of scraps. In the old days people fed their chickens what ever they had. My son doesnt even feed his free rangers in the summer they seem just fine to me. Mine especially love white bread. It seems to me mine wont eat what is bad for them. I had mistletoe fall out of the tree and the berries are poison they peck at them but never eat them when they figure out what they are.
