Can I feed unhatched eggs to my chickens

Um, no, that would pretty much be a wives' tale. You can feed scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, fried eggs, any other kind of eggs you want to your chickens with no issue. It's a good way to use up extras that you have no other use for. The chickens won't make the connection between cooked eggs offered to them and what is shooting out the back end of the hens.

I probably wouldn't give them whole shells,no point in giving them ideas.

Mine made a very strong connection between the two. I had to get rid of 4 hens because as soon as they laid they would peck at and break open the eggs. Theres threads on it on this site as well. Im not the only one.

To the chickens or the chicks? Giving chicks scrambled eggs is good because they contain a lot of protein. But giving scrambled eggs to chickens is a bad idea. Once they get a taste for eggs they will start cracking their own eggs open and eating them.

A chicken does not have the intelligence to make the connection between a scrambled egg and the things that come out of their vents. I've been feeding scrambled and boiled eggs to my chickens for the past four years and I've yet to have an egg eater. Don't credit them with more intelligence than they possess.

At Christmas time I was making dishes that required lots of eggs. I wasn't sure if my girls could keep up so I actually Bought eggs. I then had too many eggs so I took some of those Bought eggs and scrambled them with all the egg shells that I'd been saving. The egg shells were crushed fine. The ladies loved them. I would hesitate to give them raw eggs though.

Thank you all for your comments. I was more concerned about whether it was safe to feed the eggs after incubating them for 7 days. I haven't had an egg eater yet but I will keep a watch for it. I am so sorry you had to cull your four birds, that would be a hard thing for me to have to do. I hope I don't have to go through it, but I guess with chickens there's never a dull moment!
