Can you eat a Peahen's eggs?

Is there anything about peacock eggs that makes them unsafe to eat? I may be looking into peacocks, and I would not hatch every egg they lay.

They are indeed delicious. Very much like a turkey egg deep rich taste,

You can eat peahen eggs. My family loves them. My family has created a rating scale for eggs using chicken eggs as the standard. You have the chicken egg, then peahen and turkey eggs are creamier than a chicken, but not too creamy. Then you have duck eggs which are really rich. Peahen eggs are much larger, don't need as much eggs to make a meal. My family got a lot of peahen eggs last year.

I have 4 mature peahens and figured thats a lot of chicks i cant manage at all so eating them sounds excellent but Im unsure how to go about collecting and cleaning.Once the peahens are laying do I need to separate the male from the females ? Do I just pick em as soon as I see one and wash clean and refrigerate right away until ready for cooking.
