Can you hatch chicks when treating with Ivermectin?

This paper discusses the hatching of parasite eggs, not chickens! Ivermectin is safe to use in all stages of pregnancy and breeding in domestic mammals, it should be safe for hatching eggs but I wouldn’t sell eating eggs to the public without consulting FARAD or product label on withdrawal periods for laying hens. Was that a typo or are you using ivermectin pour on (bovine) topically on birds?! I’d be afraid it would be rather rough on their skin, might burn the feather follicles. The injectable is safe orally or obviously products labeled for use in poultry.

I posted the wrong one! 🤣🤣🤣

Can’t find the link to the article I wanted to post, but here’s info from ChatGPT:

Research on quails and pigeons (Journal of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, 2015) found that ivermectin affected fertility and egg viability at high doses.

Didn’t read to find out what is a high dose.

• In broiler breeders, a study (Poultry Science Journal, 2017) suggested that ivermectin could cause temporary reproductive disruptions, though it was more focused on sperm viability than hatch rates.

What were the results in your experience?

I’m hatching Ivermectin eggs, myself. Interested in this, too.
