Can you use foam egg cartons in the incubator?

I am out of the paper egg trays. I do have several new foam egg trays. I am just wondering if that would work. I have cut the bottoms out so the air will flow through just like the paper trays. I can buy the paper ones in a day or so. Has anyone used the foam ones with good luck? Thanks and happy hatching! dave27889
By the way go to the crazy egg train and trade some eggs. We need everyone that has pure eggs to trade. Later

I have used Styrofoam in the past with great results.

ETA: I cut holes in the bottom of the carton where each egg sits.

Good Luck. I wish you the very best. This is my first time also as far as a large batch goes. I've done little amounts for school projects and boy scout stuff. I have 75 eggs in three incubators right now. Later, dave27889

I was using the paper ones but it was having an effect on humidity , because it was porus.
This time I used the other put holes in bottom and cut it down about a third, plenty of humidity can get to eggs.
I have eggs hatching now,

Thanks a lot and I am going to try it. I will cut them down and I do always cut out the bottoms for air flow. Thanks to all, Dave27889

I have my shipped eggs in cartons but I didn't know to cut out bottoms they seem to be developing good and are polish so they don't fill the spot fully. Are they gonna beok? Some had detached cells so I worry ill mess em up if I try to move em and modify the cartons
