Canada Peavey Mart Chickdays

Last year while I was not paying attention, Peavey Mart ( a Canadian farm supply store chain, affiliated with TSC) changed the way they sell chicks to be similar to TSC in the US. They offer 3 chick minimum orders including 30 different breeds and hybrids from Hoover Hatcheries. I was surprised that Hoover was selling chicks in Canada. Don’t know how it’s even possible but here they are. https://www.chickdays.ca/category/16475. I am really happy to see this development as the availability and choice of chickens has been limited in my region. Now I can try some of those Sapphire Gems and Red Stars!

They're closing down and won't be doing chicks this year, stay tuned to the U of A hatching program to find their next distributor

Sources have confirmed to Retail Insider that Peavey Mart, a Canadian retail chain known for its agricultural supplies, hardware, and home improvement products, is closing all of its stores nationwide. Liquidation sales began on the weekend. The store closures include the flagship location in Red Deer, Alberta, where the company’s headquarters are also based. This marks a significant and surprising turn of events for a company with deep roots in Canadian retail, dating back to its establishment in Winnipeg in 1967.
