Cattle Dogs (Queensland) Changing?

If there is no tan then it's a stumpy tail australian cattle dog, heres some pic's,they are more slim then acd's

The head of the Stumpy Tail Cattle dog is balanced with the body. The eyes are medium sized and oval shape. The ears are broad at the base, set wide apart on the head and of medium size. The muzzle is medium and tapering to a point. The nose is black and self-colored according to coat. The bit is scissor or level. It has a medium length and extremely strong neck and a deep and muscular chest, with well-sprung ribs. The body is level back that slopes at the rump. Forelegs should be perfectly straight when viewed from the front. Hind legs are broad, strong, muscular and straight from the hocks to the feet when viewed from the back. The feet are round with short toes. It has a natural bobtail. Its coat is medium-short, straight, dense and harsh. Colors include red speckled with darker red markings on the head or blue speckled with black markings on the head.

I'm not sure if it is standard, but blue/black with no tan will show up in lines that have ACDs and not stumpy tails being bred. :) It's just that tan showing up in Stumpy Tail lines is said to mean they have had ACD bred in from what I understand.

Here's a pretty ACD example:

and a pup:

Love the look of them! :D

I like the creams that pop up too, but the chocolate...

most of the "blue heelers" as they call them here are the leaner build like you like and usually have the dark face patches. I may have to get my brother to snap a pic of his new pup to post. red heelers around here tend to be a little thicker in build with a white patch on the forehead. The blues my uncle had were definitely the leaner type. Once they got too old to work he tried out some blue heeler x border collies like this one:

That red! :O
I prefer blues for the most part, but I'm in love with the red one.

I am from Australia and have a Blue Hall's Heeler. Most people don't realise there are different classes of dog within the ACD Breed.

A Hall's has a white star mark on his forehead and a spot on their tails - and tend to be a bit more stocky. Hall's ACD's are a New South Wales dog where as

the thin lanky ones are Queensland Heelers. The difference is due to the requirements needed for temperatures and ground - NSW is Colder than QLD and the dog needed more

muscle for rockier terrain where in QLD its hot as and long flat plains that requires looping long distances.

Hope this is helpful...... I Love my Blue - He is called Sam and watches over my flock.

This fella looks to have a lot of "Coolie" another breed thats crossed alot with heelers and can be hidden till bred.
It is a very common trait in Coolies to have miss matched eyes.
