Cordelia's egg from today, caught her on camera and no other marans eggs today. In other news, we're up to 7 hatched inside and I've seen 1 with Cersei (I'm not going to bother her) pics to come!

The 7 that hatched inside (I'm pretty sure the other 2 quit but I'm gonna leave them until tomorrow) all, except the chipmunk chick, have feathered legs to some extent, a few have muffs, and all have pea combs. They are chonky chicks

2 chicks picked up today, 3 more will be picked up Sunday, the other 2 have become unclaimed so I'll slip them under Cersei tonight, 2/3 of her eggs hatched but one got squished, so she only has 1 little.

I slipped her the other 2 homeless chicks, she gave them a couple clucks and they settled in. I'll be up early to open the coop door a bit earlier than usual.

Cleaned up the new maticoopx, fired it up, and started reading the instructions. First page talks about how digital thermometers/hygrometers don't work with this incubator and they recommend the little giant liquid thermometer, and they give a big explanation why. I had my govee in there and left it for the day to see for myself. So far they are either spot on or within .5 degrees (over on the govee) I'm gonna leave it be cuz something in me says this is some kind of marketing BS.
P.S. I absolutely love the water bottle for humidity regulation, it literally makes this thing hands off for a week at a time!
Just my 2 cents for anyone thinking of purchasing one.
