First chick that hatched is having leg problems. It looks like splayed leg, but when I put him upright he falls over on his back all the time. His head also keeps moving in circles. The parents had breeder ration and lots of chicks that hatched in my incubator never had splayed leg. None of the other chicks are showing signs of this. What should I do? Is the strange head movements and lack of balance something to be worried about?

There isn't much to do just now but wait and see if it gains some strength. Did it hatch on time or early?

Hey LC found that one YouTube I tried with my chick. Time is of the essence with these chicks, they grow sooooo fast that you want to make sure their tendons and ligaments do not fix in a permanent manner.

Do you you have a wood stove? You could snuggle the jar under hot water bottles or hot hands (but make sure he does not get over heated!)
I have used water bottles filled with hot water and wrapped in a towel, a few of these surrounding the jar should keep her warm.

Are the chicks still in your house? I checked the temps your way looks not too cold. So hopefully some water bottles filled with hot water should help.

How is she today?
