I have access to this free large pallet. Im considering using it for my coop floor and foundation. My concerns are that the flooring is boards so there is gaps between them which I've read can cause issues with cleaning, mites and a draft can come up through them. My other concern is that because it's a pallet nothing is likely ground contact treated. Are these valid concerns or should I just use it?

You can definitely use it. If you're really worried about the cracks you can seal them from the top side with caulking and then apply a sheet of vinyl over top of the pallet flooring. The vinyl flooring will make it easy to clean plus stop any drafts coming from up underneath. Don't use any glue to apply the vinyl flooring instead use staples or screws on the upper sides I keep the vinyl from moving. I ran the vinyl flooring up the sides of the coop to create a vinyl tub effect.
It allows me to do the deep litter method during winter and hold sand in the warmer months.
