I discovered how I can make my genetics blog posts viewable to people who don't have a Tumblr account.
Hopefully these can make poultry genetics more accessible to people!
I'll be putting them all in this first post, but I'll also post them in the thread whenever I make new ones!

Pheomelanin Extenders
Eumelanin Extenders

How about Dun, & Khaki?
Half of the offspring I've hatched from Dun are black, while the other half Dun. Got one Dun so dark it's almost black.

I haven't gotten there yet but I will cover dilutions soon.
I am more reluctant to do that one though because I have zero pictures of examples for those, but I would love to if you gave me some.

A little hesistant to post this one because doubtless someone will disagree with me on autosomal red and they would probably be right! Try as I might I can't wrap my head around it. I have seen information that completely contridicts other info I have seen about it. In the end, I just had to form an opinion about who to believe. But the information on gold and silver is sound.
Anyway, if anyone knows how it really works, I'd be happy to know.

If there is a specific gene you want to learn more about, use ctrl F! Ten times better than any search feature.
