I have an Orpington who has just begun laying (probably started a month to 6 weeks ago), and she has been laying very strange eggs from the start. Some speckled, then they switched to regular brown so I thought that was fine and she adjusted. Her eggs are small but o figured they would increase in size, and one day they did and it was a double yolk egg. Then a few days ago they began to get white/pinkish. Now she’s laying two at a time - one is white and pink and the other is the same color but has a much more fragil/cracker shell - I broke her second one yesterday but managed to keep the second one intact today. I know it’s from no other hen - she is the only brown and new egg layer we have - the others are blue egg layers, AND I basically watched her do it both yesterday and today bc it’s finally nice here in central PA and we have been doing yard work and have been around her. Any thoughts? Safe to eat? Pics at the bottom - will put a blue Egg beside for size reference.
