Chicken Run Ideas, would love to see your pics!

8-5-2017 (61).jpg Still need more toys and some kind of partial roofing.

Nice run, may I ask the size please? Am getting ready to build one and love the looks of yours.
Thank you!
The size is 10 x 20---200 square feet. The coop is completely enclosed and raised so it has a nice sheltered spot underneath that the girls enjoy.
We have the partial roof in place---need to add gutters. We most likely will extend the roof to completely cover the run in the Spring.
This is the roof before the polycarbonate panels were added---gotta take more pics!

1/2 inch wire cloth and snow load. Has anyone used 1/2 inch wire cloth for their run area and had a large snowfall? I was wondering if it held up to the weight of the snow. If so, how far apart are the posts?

I'd start a new thread titled this> "1/2 inch wire cloth and snow load".
Would love to see the responses and discussion.
Asking for pics and putting location on profile or posts would help a great deal.

I would think that you'd need pretty tight rafter spacing, with blocking between for stiffening and attaching HC, and posts to ground depending on spans.

My runs are made from 10x10 chainlink dog kennels. I put woven wire fencing on top (predator barrier) and one has a pitched roof w/ tarp over it as well (rain barrier). Both have hardware cloth or woven wire digging barriers and hardware cloth aprons on the lower 2 feet of the walls. The 2 pens are connected by a wall w/ a door in it.

How did you pitch the roof? We get so much rain out here. The weight of the water broke my PVC run.

Wow, your chicken coop is really nice. My Big chicken flys over any fence though. I made this little coop out of dog crates and a dog house. I only have 2 chickens and I do let them out for several hours a day to free range.

Are your two chickens in one run o two? I cant see if there is any wire between the two crates. I love your little hen on the right and have you tried clipping the other hens wings?
