Me and Fred just hangin out. (Yea, he needs a bath. He loves strawberry applesauce but he's a sloppy eater so that's what all of the pinkish stains are on his white.)

Thank you to everyone for your support! Fred is definitely a special little guy! I honestly never imagined that a chicken would be this affectionate! He loves to be held and cuddle. He always falls asleep on me! If I'm not holding him, he comes up to me and stares and chirps, as if he's telling me to pick him up. He's got me figured out though because it works every time.

my barred rock hen was like this! I missed her, she was one of my first chickens, 1 of 8. She was the leader. her name was lulu. i would throw food down to get her to stop chirping and she wouldn't eat it, she would just look up and chirp more until i got down on my knees and hugged her so she can hug me back! I never thought a chicken could hug. She put her wings out like how our arms would to hug. i have a picture to on my page. she wasn't handicap but when she died protecting the flock, i lost it. I went to the hospital to go back to normal. She will always be my favorite pet!

You have yourself a great wonderful chicken... treasure him as much as you can! They are like kids.

Sorry I took so long to respond.. Everyone in my house has been sick :-(
Fred's doing great! His stubs are 99% healed! He still has balance issues but, if he wants to go somewhere, he figures out a way!
