chickens and ducks

I have 5 chickens and 2 ducks and they all live happy together the only problem that we have is that my male ducks keeps plucking one of the chickens.

I'm so glad you just asked this question. I am planning on building an aviary with a small pond in one end and the coop in the other end, and a little duck house near the pond. I was only going to get two small/ bantam ducks. I didn't realize chickens could drown in a kiddie pool! If it is shallow enough, will they be okay? The aviary will be about 20 feet by 12 feet.
